Improving Youth Baseball Instruction is vital to Baseball’s Survival
“You know this baseball game of ours comes up from the youth. That means the boys. And after you’ve been a boy, and grow up to know how to play ball, then you come to ‘watch’ the boys you see representing themselves today in our national pastime.”

The quote above from Babe Ruth illustrates the importance that playing baseball has to boys becoming future fans of baseball. Baseball is entering into a new era of competition for our youth, and it is in danger to become a niche sport that fades out of favor in America. Even Stewy from the cartoon TV show Family Guy has recently called baseball “America’s slowly dieing past time.”
Baseball from the Ground Up has a two part solution to help baseball stay alive and well. Part one is to rethink the T-Ball level baseball game that is kids first experience with baseball.
The second part of this solution is not only improve the pace and organization of baseball practice, but to also improve how we teach our kids baseball.
